Therapeutic effects of photobiomodulation in the speech-language-hearing clinic: an integrative literature review

چکیده
ABSTRACT Purpose: to conduct a literature review on the therapeutic effects of photobiomodulation applicable speech-language-hearing therapy. Methods: databases searched were Cochrane Library, Virtual Health Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) via PubMed, Web Science/ISI.The selected articles original ones whose abstracts available that evaluated effect in situations related practice. Results: sample comprised 23 articles, most them being indexed PubMed. The fields health with largest number publications Physical Therapy Medicine. size ranged from1 99 people, aged 15 77 years, applied wavelength was infrared one. Most studies had positive application results - although few this treatment modality assessed combination rehabilitation exercises. Conclusion: benefits different disorders treated by therapists, however, there is broad methodological diversity, lacking specific protocols for ideal dosimetry each disorder.
